While we primarily work with the architectural and industrial markets, we also do quite a bit of work with automotive customers and retail customers looking to refinish a variety of personal metal products.
Architectural Coatings include any coatings that are specifically designed to hold up to harsh outdoor environments. The majority of coatings applied are polyester based resins, often times paired with a zinc rich epoxy primer, which adds the maximum level of durability for outdoor steel parts. We work with many regional manufacturers of awnings, railings, fences, and aluminum extrusions to ensure that their products are powder coated to stand up to harsh weather and difficult environments for many years to come.
Industrial coatings are typically more focused on the function and durability instead of just appearance. This is really where the various hybrid powders, in addition to the urethane and epoxy, come into play. At Advanced Industrial Finishes, we work with our customers to understand what the end use of the product will be and what conditions the coating needs to stand up to. Whether its fitness equipment, switch gears, or control valves, we have successfully coated all types of industrial parts to meet or exceed our customers’ expectations and requirements.
Automotive and Retail Projects primarily include any type of work that needs to be refinished. This is for people who may have existing car rims, suspension parts, bumpers, or car frames, etc that need to be stripped of existing corrosion or paint and sandblasted to return the parts back to a bare metal state. Then we begin the process of pretreating and powder coating the parts so that they can last many more years and look like they just left a manufacturer’s production floor. We also refinish quite a bit of metal patio furniture and ornamental fixtures. The process is the same as outlined above, which often entails burning off any existing finish and sandblasting the parts to remove any rust and corrosion. Adding the
zinc rich primer to steel parts ensures that the parts will have maximum rust resistance for years to come.
